Jo Betterton

Jo trained as a nurse and social worker and worked in NHS and Social Care settings
ranging from working with street drinkers , in a residential detox unit, developing
shared care services for substance misusers and supporting the development of
primacy care teams in London. As part of the NHS London Leadership Academy, Jo
continued to work with primary care workforce and patient/citizen leaders to support
the aspirations of the Fuller Stocktake to move from what’s the matter with you to
what matters to you.

Now retired, Jo hopes to use her experience and connections to support the work of
ReHabit to raise awareness of the issues and strengthen the voices of people with
complex needs who cannot always access the help they need from the services on
offer.
