Aaron Barzey

Aaron spent 20 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, where his roles spanned patient safety (pharmacovigilance), regulatory affairs, and medical affairs. For two of those years, he served as the regulatory lead for opiate addiction treatment in the USA, collaborating closely with patients, clinicians, and policy makers.

In 2023, Aaron began his own recovery journey. Following residential detox and rehabilitation, he took time to reflect and reevaluate his path. This experience inspired him to dedicate his career to the field of addiction. He is now studying for a PGCert in Addiction Medicine and hopes to pursue a PhD in the future. Aaron is also a member of the Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA).

Outside of his professional and academic commitments, Aaron is passionate about endurance sports. He has already completed the London T100 triathlon and The London Classics, and continues to challenge himself through athletic pursuits.
